Examples of many of the cars illustrated on this site would have at some time been modified and competed in races or rallies. However, my plan is to produce drawings of cars that were specifically built for racing. Some are iconic and have a special significance in the history motor racing. Others may have been the forerunner or inspiration for the road going versions. The D-Type Jaguar not drawn yet (also perhaps somewhat iconic) immediately springs to mind. For the time being because of the typically variable, unknown or secretive nature of racing car set-ups, specifications won't appear on the prints though some are below on each page though these may not be relied on to be accurate. This being a new project, plus the fact that racing cars are less accessible than classic cars which are seen at rallies from a reference and measurement point of view, any help from owners or those associated with motor racing would be very much appreciated.
